WLMA members are often members of regional review groups that receive publisher copies of new titles and then the member reviews the book. The book is donated to the reviewer's library or given as a collection in whole to a deserving audience's library.
The Washington State Young Adult Review Group (WASHYARG) is a regional reviewing organization of school and public librarians and other individuals interested in books, magazines, films, cassettes, videos, and other materials appropriate for adolescent use and intent. Members pay $15 per school year and are entitled to review books and receive The Washrag, the quarterly compilation of written reviews plus the annual index. Meetings are held at the King County Library System's Service Center, 960 Newport Way NW, Issaquah from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Puget Sound Council for Reviewing Children's Books - PSC is a regional reviewing organization with membership encompassing Washington state. It is composed of working and retired school and public librarians, whose shared passion is reading, reviewing, and enjoying children's literature.
The South Sound Book Review Council- South Sound Book Review Council (SSBRC) is a Washington State book review group for all types of school library books, primarily elementary and young adult literature and non-fiction works. The books reviewed are donated from the publishers to the SSBRC who in return donate them to the member school district and public libraries. They post their reviews online.
