Buget place to stay in Miami – Ramona Motel

We stayed for two days in Miami at Ramona Motel and totally loved it. I initially thought the rooms would be antiquated especially since the hotel has been around for so long put was pleasantly surprised. A lot of Ramona Motel’s photos their staff placed here – ramona-motel.miami-fl-hotels.com. The Good: The rooms were nice, clean, tasteful and very modern. The rooms appeared to have been recently renovated w/LCD flat screens in every room. Staff was very friendly and accommodating (got a pool view at no extra charge). Great view of sunset from their rooftop bar – without the crowds (Open only for a few hours at sunset). We booked it in average price at this place – superpages.com/bp/miami-fl/ramona-motel-L0007668123.htm. Place is historic and is even part of the Conch Train Tour and is a walk to all the Key Attractions including West Flagler street and the Miami Docks (don’t miss the sunset cruise on the glass bottom boat, the trip is well worth the price!). As mentioned in other reviews (local.yahoo.com/info-14233717-ramona-motel-miami). The rooftop pool was small but we definitely were not complaining. There were ample pool chairs and towels for guest use. The pool bar was a plus though open only for a few hours and a little expensive Check in and checkout is a breeze. A few minor irritants: Parking is $* a day (Though the staff tells you upfront and compared to parking elsewhere is not too bad). Cocktails at both the rooftop and pool are a little expensive
