Supporting Student Success is a Washington State library project designed to assist public schools and public libraries to work together for the success of K-12 students in completion of Social Studies Classroom Based Assessments (CBAs). The Supporting Student Success Project focuses on the library's role in supporting the CBA research process.
The funding is available school year 2009-10 for 2 types of grants: Small Project Grant and Competitive Grant. Public Libraies and Public Schools are eligible to submit applications for this grant cycle subject to the Library Services and Teachnology Act (LSTA) eligibility.
----For Small Project Grants under $4000 per grant, there is $90,000 to fund approximately 23 projects. Small Project grants are critera-based and will be awarded on a first come-first served basis provided the application is complete and meets all criteria.
---For Competitive Grants in amounts under $40,000 per grant, there is $160,000 to fund approximately 4 projects. Competitive Grants
