WEB PAGE TROUBLESHOOTING

There are some common errors that keep people from using all of our resources.

If your browser or toolbar is stopping popups, then many of the attachments, files or web pages will not be accessible.  You need to right click on the blocked area and "allow popups on this site"

Common files are in Adobe Acrobat Reader (.pdf) . It is a free download but the computer you are using must have it installed or you will not see the file.

Microsoft Products - MS Word (.doc), MS Publisher (.pub) MS Powerpoint (.ppt)  MS Excel Spreadsheets (.exl) give some difficulties to Firefox Browers or Macintosh computers. 

Please note that a free and open source application called "Open Office" can also read these documents.  This application is available for Windows, Mac, Linix, and can be downloaded here: http://www.openoffice.org/  

Users should not be limited to a single (non-free) option when needing to access information. 

Many people send us their copy of what they have and most of the time the version of your software will work, however MS Publisher seems to be the hardest to get a different version to work.

Of course, we would love to have all the material available on easy to read web pages but the time for conversion of all materials makes that impossible.  The webmaster and web committee are open to suggestions and are trying to update and make many resources available

Print Pages

Click on this icon on any WLMA page and you will have a page for printing that will not include the top banner and sidebars, just the content of the main part of the page.

email Pages

Click on this icon on any WLMA page and you will have a popup box toput in an email address. You can add you own email address and a comment if you wish as well.

RSS-- at the bottom of the main page- right click and copy that URL information. Place it in your own bloglines or similar services for a RSS feed and the new news will be sent automatically to your own RSS feed setup blog.

If you have pictures of people to send to the webmaster, please use the Release Form to get permission so that we can use the photographs.
